About
In 1995, Sheba Dance Troupe was established at Dartmouth College with the goal of promoting hip-hop dance as a creative means of expression and movement among the community. Since then, our troupe has developed a reputation of excellence, featuring student choreography rooted in hip hop, street, and a variety of other styles.
We are a student-run organization that strives to recognize and exhibit each member's creativity. Members actively participate in every facet of team culture, from advertising, merchandising, and special effects to music creation, show themes, and costume design.
The team strives to create a fun, vibrant, and productive dance environment outside of the busy academic sphere at Dartmouth. During practice, we learn dances, create formations, and strengthen team camaraderie. Outside of rehearsal time, the team partakes in “Shebaluv” events - times where we can get closer to one another and bond as a team. For instance, Sheba has hosted hiking trips, apple picking, movie nights, morning brunches, dance watch parties, dance workshops, sip & paint sessions, and coffee dates.
Currently, Sheba performs in spaces welcome to all Dartmouth students - such as greek spaces and campus centers. Recently, we visited Wellesley College to perform at their annual showcase; a great experience to meet fellow dancers and gain inspiration from a variety of talents. In the future, Sheba hopes to continue traveling to different dance venues and gaining invaluable experiences as a dynamic arts group.

Sheba appreciates any and all donations. We work hard to fundraise each term, but as a team of 20+ it is not easy to cover all of our goals.
